How to rank up difficulties? Also, auto-plays aren't available right from the start, looks like you have to play the songs outside the event and get a performance check despite having already played them before.

Even for songs I played twice in a row in the event, I couldn't use auto play on the 2nd time. I've been wondering the same thing about the difficulties!
